Parents play the most important role in helping their children to grow up to be happy, healthy and well-rounded individuals. The right parenting style is the key to successfully raising children. Permissive parenting is one of the styles can have the most negative effects on the child in the long run. Permissive parenting is a style that basically allows children to do whatever they please. The children do not have any limits or boundaries and they are on the same level as their parents. Some of the major consequences of permissive parenting include: extreme disrespect, lack of self-control and discipline and resentment towards the parents.
